A little inspiration from Munch

Edvard Munch, "Summer Night's Dream: the Voice" 1893

I couldn't have been more taken by surprise than I was upon entering the Munch show on exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago. I never thought that I would find inspiration in his use of color, in his deliberate brush strokes. I thought that I was prepared for what I was going to see, I was seriously mistaken. Most of his work is dark. However, it struck me more as haunting and familiar, rather  than anything disheartening or melancholy.
